What is Honda Sensing®?

Honda Sensing® includes multiple technologies to keep you aware of what is going on around your vehicle while on the Tustin roads:

• Collision Mitigation Braking System™ (CMBS™)—helps apply the car’s brakes if a collision with a straight-ahead vehicle seems likely.
• Road Departure Mitigation System (RDM)—detects road markings through a small camera, and will alert you if you begin to leave the road.
• Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)—allows you to keep a preset following distance.
• Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS)—automatically adjusts steering to bring you back to the center of the lane if you begin to drift.
• Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR)—detects and alerts you to speed limit signs through the use of a camera.

How to Reset Honda Sensing®

Wondering if to can turn off or reset Honda Sensing®? You will have the ability to deactivate the system if you choose. For example, if you want to turn off RDM, you can press a button under ECON, and LKAS can be turned off by pushing the MAIN button on the steering wheel until the indicators in the instrument cluster are gone.  Pressing the MAIN button again will reset Honda Sensing®.

Honda Sensing® settings can also be configured via the optional central touchscreen. Hit “Settings,” “Vehicle Settings,” and then “Drive Assist Setup.” This allows you to change RDM warnings, distance warnings for CMBS, and more.
