Service Technician

Job description

This position is located in Orange County, California. The Service Technician at Weir Canyon Honda is responsible for performing vehicle repair and maintenance work as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. Duties and Responsibilities Include:

Receive repair orders from DMS Electronic dispatch.
Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
Diagnose cause of any defect or malfunction and perform authorized repairs.
Communicate with parts department through DMS to obtain needed parts.
Save and tag warranty parts or parts requested by the customer.
Inspect vehicle (MPI) to determine if additional safety or service work required.
Notify Service Advisor immediately if additional work outlined is not required.
Notify Service Advisor if work cannot be completed in the time promised.
Document all work performed. (3 – C’s)
Road-test vehicles when required.
Maintain Self-Studies, Attend American Honda training classes.
Keep current on AHM technical service bulletins.
Ensure that customers’ cars are kept clean.
Keep shop area neat and clean, properly take care of all shop tools.
Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations, including disposal of hazardous waste.
Must follow all company safety policies and procedures. Immediately report any and all accidents to a manager or foreman
Participate in Shop Safety Meetings.
Job Qualifications: High CSE/FRFT Scores is a must:

ASE, Technical School or Honda Factory Training.
Honda or Import experience a PLUS!
Factory certifications a PLUS!
High school diploma or the equivalent.
Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
Manual dexterity.
Good Judgment.

All applicants must perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner.
All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, drug test and valid driver license.
